How to play
Think of a historical event and answer yes or no. The Guessarium narrows the whole of recorded history down to your event, usually in under fifteen questions. It's free, it takes about two minutes, and there's nothing to sign up for.

Think of a historical event
Any event, from any era, anywhere on Earth. Don't tell anyone. The curator starts from the whole of recorded history.
Answer with one of five chips
The curator asks a yes or no question. You answer with Yes, No, Don't know, Probably, or Probably not. The same five, every turn.
Watch the field narrow
Each answer cuts the range of possible events. The Deduction Dial shows how far the curator has closed in.
See whether it names your event
Most events are named within fifteen questions. If the curator gets it wrong, you have stumped the museum. Tell it what you were thinking of and the curators will study it.
The Daily Enigma
Once a day the roles reverse. The Guessarium holds a secret event, the same one for every visitor in the world, and you ask the questions. The curator answers truthfully with Yes, No, Partly, or Unknown. Name it in as few questions as you can. Your score is the number you used, and the emoji trail you share never spoils the answer.

The classroom modes run the same engine on curriculum-aligned topic sets, with no accounts, no logins, and no student data, ever.
Common questions
How long does a game take?
About two minutes. Most events are named within fifteen questions, and each question takes a couple of seconds to answer.
What if I don't know the answer to a question?
Answer "Don't know". It's a real answer, not a skip, and the curator uses it. Guessing wrongly is what sends it down the wrong path.
How is the Daily Enigma different?
The roles reverse. The Guessarium holds one secret event, the same one for every player that day, and you ask the questions. Your score is the number of questions you needed.
Do I need an account to play?
No. There's no account to create. Your streak is saved on your own device and nowhere else.
